Had my TX in July 2017. I battled the BK Virus from Sept. of last year. The highest it has been is 28,000 copies per mL. It took approx 6 months for it to register below 500 copies per mL. That is the cutoff on the what the test can identify. They reduced my immuno meds as well, I know it is frustrating but as long as the BK level shows consistent reductions, you will be fine. It just takes time - something I'm becoming very accustomed to in this process. Congratulations on your trannsplant!
