I had been on immunosuppressants for a few years when I was prescribed Lisinopril for my blood pressure. My levels did not change and have had no issues - its been at least 5 years now.
I tried to manage my prescription with the goal of reducing the doses to the lowest therapeutic amount hoping to limit side effects. I found this produced more opportunities to miss doses and abandoned that task after a while. I suppose applying the timers on most cell phones would aid in this task, however, since your dose is regulated by your blood work, this seems like a lot of effort for little gain. I instead ensure that I stay hydrated and gulp down my meds together, twice a day, twelve hours apart. Other opinions may vary.

I have been talking BP and cellcept/prograf for last 11 year. No issue so far.
For BP I take, amlodipine and losartan (recently started)

Lisinopril, I have been told, has a protective quality for the kidneys. You may have been prescribed it more to reap that benefit than for BP control.
