Laser or IPL hair removal?

Hello everyone, I hope you are keeping well and safe from COVID.
Has anyone had a facial hair removal by laser or IPL?
I am very embarrassed to go out with facial hair, especially with the white hairs on my chin. I attempted electrolysis but unfortunately it left me with red skin (that has gone away but not completely) and really didn’t work very well.
I am tempted to do laser or IPL but heard that laser is better for facial hair removal.
Any suggestions on which is better or which machine is best?
Because of my skin sensitivity from all the medication, I heard IPL is safer but laser is more effective.
I would welcome any feedback.
