Molluscum after kidney transplant

I am 1.5 year post kidney trx. I had a pimple kind of think since 6 months on my chin. Now that spread into many(10-12). Skin biopsy revealed that it is molluscum. I read it is contagious and progresses easily. My dermatologist said we need to burn it out. Hence underwent burning and removal. But still it looks like it is spreading to nearby areas.Anyone suffered from it? Any home remedies that turned out to be effective?

  • Hi Priyanka,

After transplant,  you are on immune suppression drugs. Hence,  body is weaken to fight with bacteria on skin and they will keep on coming for ever. Dermatologist may give you prescribed shampoo to make them clear or remove marks.  but he may not stop them.
