  • Sorry, no knowledge about your condition but I am thrilled to know you've had your transplant for 25 years!!  Especially since immunosuppressant drugs have changed so much over the years.  Congratulations to you and prayers for the rest of us.  I wish you the best with the lymphoma!

    • Thank you Anna non Hodgkin lymphoma was diagnosed 4 years and  has been stable, and good luck and prayers all.

  • I am guessing maybe follicular based on watch and wait approach?

I used to work in genetics (non MD) so it really can make a big difference whether B or T cell and Stage.  Sounds like you have been diagnosed early.  Ideally, and not uncommon, you live with it as just another health matter you have to watch.  I am quite rusty in the cancer arena but I can try and disseminate anything you have specific questions on.  I assume you Oncologist is working along with Tx team if needed.

It will be your decision if progesses to treatment stage.  Again it may not.  There are a number of Leukemias that are the same - just something you live with.

My comment would be that you seem to have successfully managed your Tx for 25 years so look to do the same with NHL.

    Best of luck.

    • Thank you for your comment NHL was diagnosed 4 years ago and it is B cell my oncologist thinks I have had it for much h longer as my white cell count has been raised for much longer. I have no B symtoms and scans were normal.

      • It is always hard to be grateful sometimes with a serious health diagnosis but being B Cell vs T Cell is a very positive indicator.

        Good luck.
