  • I’m a year post kidney transplant and my creatinine ranges from 1.0 to 1.3, largely based on hydration and exercise. I try not to exercise the day before labs because it skews the numbers.

  • My creatinine level is 1.2

  • My baseline is between 160 and 180 (in US numbers that's  between 1.8 and 2). And my eGFR is usually in the mid to high 20s. It's been that way for more than a decade and I'm 15 years out with the kidney. I'm really not that concerned about the eGFR because it's notoriously unreliable in small women and if I drink a tiny bit less water it changes by a lot.

    • Do you ever have any lower urine output or nausea?

      • I don't measure my urine.I find that a bit obsessive although I know some folks do it. I can get a good feel for if I am retaining water simply by weighing myself in the morning.

And sure, sometimes I feel sick. But remembr, it's been 15 years since my transplant and feeling ill can be due to a million problems. Shortly after my transplant, illness was probably due to side effects from the anaesthesia and getting used to the drugs (maybe). But under normal circumstances I don't feel sick.
