Hey Raj hope you are doing good buddy .., Yes I too have itching in my legs ..
Hello everyone. My name is Linda and I had a kidney transplant May 16 2019. I am doing good now but I went undiagnosed with adrenal gland deficiency for a month in a half. In early July they got me on meds for it and I am much much better. My kidney came from a living donor my boyfriend! I get frustrated with my transplant center because they don't get that some people don't qualify for disability and have to get a job. I want to work and support my family. They like to change my appointments last minute and expect me to come in at least 2 hours before my appointment to get blood work done and it's never ready on time. Now they want me to come twice a week once just to do blood work and once for a clinic visit. I have a job interview this week and I hope I get the job. If I do the clinic is going to have to work with me. Does anyone else have issues like this or is it just me?
Hello how have you all been ...
More importantly, how are, Rahul? You have had a difficult time, since transplant. Are you doing better now? With my first Tx, I spent six months in the hospital recovering. That is a long time alone with my thoughts. This time has taught me one thing, to be (a) patient. I did recover and have led a full life. I hope you are well now.
I am better now ... it’s a mental trauma to recover from the fear of rejection ...
In India it’s even more difficult as pollution is all around also having something at young age can lead you alone ..::
But then all is well at my End otherwise ... Hope you are enjoying this new life to the fullest ...
Hi everyone i want to know about my high PTH level. 3 months post transplant my PTH level was 516 with normal calcium levels.my doctor asked me to get Parathyroid adenoma test. The tests showed normal Parathyroid gland.Vit D test confirmed Vit D deficiency. For 3-4 months took medicine D3 Must 60000 IU twice a week for 6 weeks than once a week. The PTH level went down to 140 .Now the medicine has been stopped and PTH is 254.Its been 10 months post transplant. I am afraid why PTH is still not within level.has anyone experienced anything similar
This is not uncommon in transplant patients, with treatment varying from diet changes and monitoring to in worst cases, removal of the para-thyroid glans to keep blood calcium levels stable. I had this done pre-Tx, as a complication of hemodialysis. Tx teams stress supplements of vitamin D be added to your diet, as our immunosuppressant meds can create a deficiency of vitamin D. I do hope you are able to get your levels under control soon.
Thanks a lot :)
