Drugs: Tacrolimus, Prednisone, Cell Cept, Aspirin, Fosomax, Acyclovir, Pravastatin, Imitrex, Bactrim DS, Nystatin, Vitamins: C, E, Magnesium Oxide, Calcium & Vitamin D3. Favorite foods: fruits/vegtables, anything Special K.

Share how your transplant experience changed your life?

Looking back, I have improved SO much. Not only can I sit up by myself but I can walk and talk at the same time, I can shower without passing out, I can sleep with just one pillow or even laying flat. I never could have done that before. I’ve been cleared by my surgeon to drive and return to college classes (online due to the immunosuppresion) and it won’t be long before I will be able to work again. No more living life from the sidelines. I can finally live each day without the worry of feeling my defibrillator fire. I have so much to look forward to and this is only the beginning. I have a brand new life ahead of me and I’m so incredibly thankful for this opportunity. Everything I have been through has made me not only a stronger person but a better person. I have learned to appreciate the little things and I personally believe that’s one of the most important lessons in life.
