Received my transplant at 65 years old. I've been following my doctors recommendations and suggestions. So far so good. Was hesitant about getting a transplant because I thought I'd be a burden and my quality of life would not be worthwhile. My docs told me it was a 'no brainer' choice so I decided to give life another chance...when I was drowning someone threw me a life preserver - I could grab it or die. I chose to live a while longer.
