I honestly seem to be struggling socially. What i think i am trying to say, i dont talk to many of the same of us that have experienced this and are going through the same experiences.

Share how your transplant experience changed your life?

I was a ex professional soccer player. Then my career advanced into a professional soccer coach. I was fit confident, life was good. Then 1 day all that changed and physically i have never been the same and psychologically i am struggling but putting a front on.

I am so lucky to be alive. I should never be here. I find it hard to get my head around it.

  • Welcome David to Transplant Friends. I have been post heart transplant for 14 months. Just like you, I have lived a very active lifestyle. I don't think I have quite come to terms with myself as yet that my life have completely changed. I still will like to think that I could still be as active. I am now realizing my limitations. Keep pushing yourself. Set realistic goals for yourself. I am confident you would eventually reach to where you woulkd like to be socially.
