Share - which illness led up to you needing a transplant?

When i was 27 i caught a virus infection which turned into Paricardidis which i had two heart attacks and left the heart enlarged on the left ventrical and vavles would not close good. Then later my heart sent a blood clot to my brain which left me partially paralyzed on the left side.

Which Organ(s) did you receive? If you are on the waiting list, please share.

On Feb.3 2006 3:00 am i was called to the emergency room then up to ICU to get prepped for the surgery and by 11:00 am the surgery started it last 6hrs.

Well there a lot of med the Rejection med i take is cyclosporine 125mg twice a day Cellcept 250 mg twice a day Predizone 5mg once a day Bactrim,Zovorax,Folic Acid,Lorpressor,Lasix,colace, Fentenaly Patch,Sodium Chloride,Previcide,B-12, 750mg Tums,Noerpine, & Vitamin D

It has given me a better quality of life if haven't received the heart when i did i wouldn't be here today to see my daughters Grad. see my grandson born and have good times with my family.

I like to fish boating go hunting, i spend time at the train muesium, i help run my parents trailer park @ Canton Lake i have a cabin there and we like to cook out. I like to help kids and grown ups with heart illness to comfort them that they will make it.
