I am Interested in Transplant Friends because...
I have a lot of questions and from what I've seen an open discussion, common sense and experienced based information. To learn what life after liver transplant is really like, learn what it is like for others. Perhaps to meet a friend or two experiencing what I am.

Share how your transplant experience changed your life?
After such a short time of having received my second chance at life I am still internalizing what that means. I was in the Big Easy for three months, waited 4 weeks, after the 3rd try got my liver, was out of the hospital in 5 days and headed back to Colorado almost 2 months and have been home for a week. Being here makes New Orleans seem unreal and feeling pretty good, I have to remind myself that I am recovering. I guess I'm also reminded that stage is how easily I tire out, but getting better everyday since I've been home.... there are things to do and considerably more normal than New Orleans. Like I said, I believe I am still learning and establish, just what happened (from initial diagnose to transplant in 11 months), what I now have to adjust food, activities and the daily drugs, and before I rarely took an aspirin.
