11/16- I can breathe with no oxygen tank! I am able to do all the things I love, dance, hike, walk, exercise, bike, swim, go see my Grandkids. As I feel better and better, the sheer Awesome Magnitude of what I went through just a year ago, just flabergasts me. I think my brain is finally figuring out what happened. I'm starting to feel really comfortable with my new lungs. 3/I'm so very grateful for my donor and their family. I am in awe of the whole thing, the pre-op tests, the call, the ride down, the surgery, my time in the hospital with My Dream Team, my time in recovery down in Westwood with my girls, my time going home sweet home, and now I'm dancing in the living room to a song that's 4 minutes long and im singing too, with no 02 on and not out of breath. I don't think it gets any better than that!! I'm so thankful to my God who directed this whole thing!! He gets all the Glory!! I received perfect lungs for my body!! I'm one Blessed, Happy Camper!! So very grateful to my Donor Family.... 1/8/18 - I have experienced some acute rejection and now chronic rejection. It started on Halloween. I’m still feeling good, just a little more out of breathe. God is still good and I’m so ever grateful for this wonderful thing called living!
