  • Hi Mandy, Thanks for adding me as a friend. I developed Type ! diabetes after my Liver transplant 2 years ago. I've been told it was because I had to be pumped full of steroids after I initially rejected the organ. It's a small price to pay for me considering I had Cancer and Hep C and was in bad shape all round. Now doing great and getting better by the day.

    Wishing you all the best.

  • Hi Mandy, So encouraging to know youv'e been 9 yr. I am looking forward to having many years after I have my double lung transplant .

  • Hi Mandy,

So glad you feel well.  I do as well and frankly I feel better now than I have for a few years. I really expected the recovery to much longer and harder than it was.  I was surprised at how quickly I was up and around.

Question if you don't mind.  I see that Type I Diabetes led to your transplant.  My husband is also a Type I.  How long had you had Type I before your kidneys were affected?  I just worry about him.

Next question is that I developed Type II from the prednisone after transplant.  Did you?

  • Thank U,Mandy, for accepting me to be  a part of your team.. I am a kidney transplant, its only over a year now. I had the new jidney last Dec.1,2016. And I am so lucky to get a second chance to libe and Im so thankful to our Almighty God for not leaving me in my side even on the lowest point of my life. I was in the last stage of kidney failure and unfortunately both of them are not working well. I had a baby when they found out about my kidney failure  and they abort it. Its so sad because supposed to be our first baby but I didnt lose hope I beed to be strong all the time because I know that God is always there to guide us. June3,2015 when I diagnosed with that disease and it was negative pregnant and June 19,2015 they found out I was positive pregnant. July 3,i went for an ultrasound and the baby is already 6-8weeks. I couldnt do anything because the dr.told me that its very risky and theres a lot of consequences if I keep the baby.. And I dont want to bring the life of the baby into risk. June 21,2016 i started dialysis and by Dec.1,2016 also I got a donor from a living one. And am so thankful that we are really match. And the kidney functions doing very well. And now I really want to have  a baby and my dr.told me that they need to adjust the cellcept into other mrdications within three months and if the kidney is doing well with the new medications then they will tell me to get pregnant. If u have give me some advice have a healthy baby then it would be great.. Thank u so much..
