Share how your transplant experience changed your life?

I had become very sick over these last several years although never missing any work or getting any infections. It was a miracle that I stayed as functioning as i was. With my new liver I have renewed strength and energy. It's such a wonderful thing to be well again. Thank God for this gift of life!

  • Hi Mark, my husband has the same condition you had before you has your transplant (PSC) in a couple of weeks we are going to meet the transplant team at Duke University to get in their list, can you tell me about your experience with them? Any suggestions? How long were you in their list? What was yoir MELD score before the transplant? Thank you

  • Hi Alicia,

Congratulations on your transplant.  Mine was in July, 2015 and I am doing very well.  As you know having gone through PSC there at the end you feel like death warmed over and the transplant makes you feel 200% better than you have in years.  I do wish you long life and a full recovery.  Be diligent with your transplant medications and all your lab visits.  Your very life depends on it as I'm sure you are much aware of by now.  Take care.
