Happy Birthday Gail !
Hi Gail. Wish we lived closer; it would be fun to meet you. Then we could re-live our 50's together.
My mess started when I was 51 with totally unexpected 2 heart attacks and 5 bypasses. Miraculously recovered from that but eventually congestive heart failure set in. The worst was a HORRIBLE cough that no one could properly diagnose. Fortunately we left Midland and moved here in 2005 or I probably would never have met my wonderful cardiologist who led me to his buddies, the wonderful Drs. at UT. I only went to appease him, but so glad that I did.
We moved alot, have 4 grown kids, and I had an on again off again career in teaching and social services. We are both 67 so officially retired (from making money anyway!)
Are you still working?
Did they ever decide something to do about your extra estrogen? At my age, I am probably deluding myself that I could have that problem! Mine is probably ALL gone by now! Could it be a lack of real exercise? So hard for me to do that although I know it is important.
So when do you go back to the clinic next?
Have a good week.
Hi Gail. I hope you have had a good day.
I wasn't informed of any reunion (: When was it?
I did attend a training day recently for Southwest Transplant Alliance volunteers. It was very interesting.
I would love to have a support group too. Unfortunately, I live the other direction about 90 miles east of Dallas. How often do you go to UTSW these days? I go every 3 months and will have my 2yr. tests in Dec. In between, they let me have lab work done locally and faxed to them. So faro good.
Holly
Hi Gail. I just commented on your blog and then read this page. I had my transplant ( heart) at UTSW. For all I know, we could have been in the clinic waiting room together!!! POB II 600?
Happy Birthday Gail
